Margin required during Expiry week for Stock Options

Can we buy current month stock option during expiry week? If yes, Is there any condition of maintaining more margins which other discount brokers impose or only the premium amount required to buy the option which full time brokers allow. Kindly clarify @Poornima @PravinJ

Hi @vikasnm,

As per the exchange requirements, for ITM Long Option positions the margin increases every day during the last week of expiry.

Hi @vikasnm,

Just to add, as mentioned in our Risk Policy, for Equity Options, in the last week of expiry (T-1), only intraday trading will be allowed and no fresh carry-forward position will be allowed.
