Good question, wonder why no one asks this. Your trading account is managed by Dhan (us) and your Demat Account is managed by Dhan (us) as a DP (Depository Participant) of CDSL. Trading account has your trade details & un-invested money and Demat account has your shares.

Technically there are two different things, but the experience you get is seamless as they are linked to each other using broker’s UCC (unique client code). When you add Nomination on Dhan - you are adding your nominations to both - trading account and demat account.

So . If i give you nomination for my demat account .
The trading account would by default be get nominated too .
Am i right ?
