Hey @PravinJ @Dhan
It wasn’t until yesterday that I had cleared my browser cache and I could still log in using the password method, so I wasn’t having to go through the whole scanning process. But now that I have, I have a suggestion.
Have you guys thought about developing a widget for Dhan where we could use that like the “Scan to pay” widget for UPI apps but instead it’ll be for logging in on to the web portal.
It’s just a suggestion, I’d like to know what you think.
Cheers!

Hey @PravinJ
I appreciate the prompt reply and the QR method to log in, but what I’m suggesting is a dedicated widget for Dhan(for Android & iOS) which will only serve the purpose of a QR scanner, in a way streamlining the whole login process bypassing the need to open the Dhan app itself for login on to the web platform.

Got it, it won’t be feasible. We built QR in a way - we stream it - connect via websocket and replace it every 30 seconds to ensure safety and security of it. It’s not a static image - and streaming that as a widget isn’t feasible option - also I doubt (my guess) even if the phone libraries will allow this.

Oh okay, never mind then.
Place login via QR code in the home screen itself.

Good suggestion, the minimum clicks/touches to access the scanner, the better.
