Ideally, critical systems like online broker/exchange must have public status page which displays the real-time status of the critical services based on real-time monitoring without any manual intervention and users should have option to subscribe the updates. Optionally, status page should also provide historical incidents, measured downtime and upcoming scheduled maintenance windows.
Status page like IntercomStatus can make broking industry availability claims more transparent!
