High charges explanation

Could someone explain why the charges were so high for single transaction. See screenshot from traders diary.

Similarly for other day.

Hi @gmatesunny, this is an equity trader in cash segment, Dhan does not charge any brokerage on this one. The charges are exchange, sebi and government charges for taxation… you can see them in transaction estimator or on brokerage calculator here: Brokerage Calculator - Delivery / Intraday Brokerage Charges Calculator | Dhan

This is why I am confused. See my screenshot in earlier message and this message about Kaveri seeds for 1 unit of delivery. There is a price difference from estimator and in the one actually incurred. Could someone explain?

@gmatesunny

Took delivery of 4 stocks and charges were deducted for it as INR 8.27

It is charge for delivery of 1 stock @513.45

Total Delivery value of INR 6882.70 (INR 535+INR 1330.75+INR 1060.15+ INR 3956.80)
Capture5

Charges calculated on trade value.

STAMP DUTY AND STT ARE IN ROUND OFF FIGURE OF NEAREST RUPEE WITHOUT DECIMAL AND OTHER AT ROUND OFF AT 2 DECIMAL PLACE.

Initial Trade of INR 516.45.
Charges STT INR 1 (Round off 0.51) and Sebi charge INR 0.02

> Always Refer to contract note at EOD for charges and other stuff.

Correct me, If I’m incorrect in anypoint. :slight_smile:

Hi @gmatesunny,

The Stamp Duty and STT are rounded to the nearest rupee, while all other fees are rounded to the nearest two decimals, as specified by @247NH. As a result, the STT of 0.51 paisa was rounded up to Rs. 1, resulting in total charges of 1.02
