IMP: KYC Non-Verified / Non-Validated Accounts to be disabled by Stock Exchanges

Dear All

As you may be already aware that the Stock Broking industry in India has some of the most stringent guidelines and regulations to follow. Over the past few years, regulators across India have ensured that the highest standards of KYC (Know Your Customer) guidelines are adhered to by all market participants.

For your perspective as Retail Investors and Traders, it is important that following actions are completed:

  • PAN is linked with Aadhaar
  • KRA is verified your registered Mobile Number and Email address

In case your KYC is not validated and verified as above before 31st March 2024, Stock Exchanged (BSE, NSE and MCX) and Depositories (CDSL) will disable your active trading accounts. In case you have trading accounts across multiple brokers, all of your accounts will be frozen and no trading shall be permitted as the KYC for your accounts will be put ON HOLD.

If you are an investor or trader on Dhan whoโ€™s KYC is either not validated or verified by the KRA, the message you will see when you attempt to trade on Dhan is one of the following:

  • User in Square-Off mode
  • User is disabled for trading
  • Exchange has disabled for trading

For Dhan users, in case your KYC records are not validated / verified, we request traders and investors on Dhan to login to our KYC portal on https://kyc.dhan.co

Thank you
Pravin

These regulatory bodies are always causing more pain to the citizens of this country. Change the expiries several times, judge a marketโ€™s valuation, dictate who should invest in what and how much, disable perfectly okay kyced accounts.

Jitna ka dhanda nahi hai usse zada compliance. Meanwhile on the other hand people are falling fraud to pig butchering scam like AngelBg and Zeroadha and all and the regulator does nothing.

We seriously need a holistic capital market reform and most importantly bring in the right talent instead of these babus.
