Settlement Holidays: From 29th March to 1st April 2024

Dear All,

Stock Markets will be closed for trading on Friday, 29th March 2024 (Good Friday) and will open for trading on Monday, 1 April 2024 except Currency Segment.

Note that Currency Segment on both exchanges (NSE & BSE) will be closed for trading on 1st April 2024 due to Bank Holiday and Settlement Holiday on account of Annual Bank Closing. As a result, Securities and Funds for trades dated 28 March 2024 will be directly settled on Tuesday 2nd April 2024.

We request you to note following impact:

  • Banks will remain closed from 29th March 2024 to 1st April 2024.
  • Stocks purchased under the “Investing” tab on Thursday, 28 March 2024 will be visible in your portfolio but, 80% CFS benefit (Early Pay-In benefit ) will NOT be available when sold on Monday, 1 April 2024, which is generally provided as a trading limit on any normal day.
  • Stocks purchased under the “MTF” tab on Thursday, 28 March 2024, will NOT be allowed to sell and will not be reflected in your portfolio holdings / demat account on Monday, 1 April 2024. They will be shown in your portfolio account only on Tuesday, 2 April 2024.
  • No trading limits will be available on Monday, 1 April 2024 against MTM profit on Equity & Derivatives positions, Option premium credit for trades dated Thursday, 28 March 2024.
  • Fund withdrawal requests will not be blocked after 5:00 PM on Thursday, 28 March 2024 till 8 AM on Monday, 1 April 2024 and the requests received after will be processed on Tuesday, 2 April 2024 after 10:00 AM.

Hope this clarifies on the settlement cycle for this weekend and annual closing of the Financial Year.
