Dear Traders & Investors,

We love building Dhan for you! And in this process shipping incredible features and updates across the Dhan ecosystem (if I may refer to this as the same) for our Super Traders and Long Term investors. We are grateful for all the suggestions and feedback that keeps coming our way, and it only encourages us to do more.

We started 2024 with our ritual - sharing the roadmap for the full year well in advance (Focus 2024: Upcoming Features on Dhan for Traders & Investors). If we have committed things to our users, we feel it is also our obligation to keep up updated on the progress we have made so far. So here to goes:

1. One-Tap Fund Transfer with ICICI Bank: Add Money in less than 3 seconds

At Dhan, we focus on innovation on core trading & investing features and also the overall journey around it. Firstly, we made pay-in free across all payment methods on Dhan - be it Netbanking, Smart Transfer or UPI (which is mandated to be free) and later introduced industry first feature of Fast Withdrawal. To add to this, we are fortunate to partner with ICICI Bank and offer One-Tap Fund Transfer for ICICI Bank users on Dhan. Try this if you haven’t done this before - adding funds on Dhan from ICICI Bank now takes less than 3 seconds!

2. Live Market Feeds on DhanHQ Trading APIs

Yes, one of the most requested features by our API based traders was to bring Live Market Feeds on our trading APIs on DhanHQ. We are glad to have delivered the same to you, now available to everyone on DhanHQ trading APIs.

3. Unlimited Rate Limits on DhanHQ APIs

We promised our API based traders that we will significantly improve their trading experience on DhanHQ APIs this year. We started our journey by enhancing the API limits for all DhanHQ APIs including Order APIs, Data APIs and Non-Trading APIs. We are glad to share that DhanHQ APIs now power over 75+ platforms including all the popular ones make our Trading APIs available to your across the partner ecosystem.

4. Scalper on TradingView Charts

We know our users love the charting experience on Dhan, and we have enhanced this from time to time. Be it enabling Trading on Charts, introducing (for the first time in India) the Seconds timeframes, or India specific timeframes (like 25 min, 75 min, and 125 min) and multiple additions to your favorite indicators. Traders on Dhan absolutely spend lots of time on our charts, but there were few experiences missing for Scalpers who would like to trade fast and quick - for them we recently introduced Scalper on TradingView Charts (on tv.dhan.co).

5. Mutual Funds now Open for Investing

Last year we introduced Mutual Funds in early access for 10,000 users and based on their usage we have continued to improve the product & investing experience for Mutual Funds on Dhan. We are now glad to announce that we have opened Mutual Funds investing for all users, which means you can directly invest in your favorite Mutual Funds without any wait times.

6. Track Bank Accounts on Dhan

We started our journey to provide our users a full picture of their Investments and Assets, late last year we introduced the capability to track investments made in Stocks via all Brokers via the Account Aggregator (AA) Framework. This year, we started extending this and showing our traders and investors their Bank Balance again through Account Aggregator.

7. Light Weight Charts on Dhan Web

We continued on our journey to make the Dhan web platform lighter, faster and trader centric. While we keep shipping a more optimised version of Dhan web every two weeks now, we also optimised the default web charts and now upgraded them to Fast Loading Light Charts.

8. IPO Pre-Apply and Tracking Subscription Status

We made IPO Investing experience simpler on both Web and Apps a long time ago right when we introduced IPOs as a feature making it possible to invest in IPOs via just 2-3 simple taps. Now we continue to build upon this and enhance your IPO investing experience by introducing the two most requested features - ability to apply in advance with Pre-Apply and also Tracking the Subscription Status.

9. BSE Sensex Option Trading Strategies

With BSE Sensex trading getting more popular on Fridays, at Dhan we have introduced BSE Options Trading and over time enhanced the experience to match with all features extended to Sensex Options Trading. In line with the same, we have introduced BSE Sensex Options on Strategy Builder on our Options Trader app.

10. Enhance Scrips available for Trading

Yes, while everyone has been busy on Options Trading we also continue to focus on Equity Intraday traders and Swing traders. Our first enhancement of the year 2024 was enabling margins and benefits to a lot more scrips - which we enabled for Intraday, MTF and also Pledging.

1-Price alerts Feature on Charts with Indicator based alert.
2-Add DAY OHLC,LTP,LTQ,LTT, VOLUME etc on tv dhan.co below in market depth page.
3-Order placing window open behind the option chain when we click on BUY/SELL button on OPTION CHAIN in tv.dhan.co please fix this.
4- Replace BUY & SELL button on HEADER with DHAN GREEN & PURPLE LOGO that redirect to respective sites.
4-Replace DEFAULT TV ORDER PLACING WINDOW Everywhere on tv.dhan.co with WINDOW you guys have provided on header BUY/SELL button .
5-Add Up :arrow_up: & down :arrow_down: Arrow on scalper tool along side Quantity Box to add lots by clicking on these arrow .
6- When some strike price is selected ATM,OTM,ITM option not shows on SCALPER TOOL kindly add that on SCALPER TOOL permanently.
7-Mobile App is Good but feels very Suffocating, Crowded kindly try to clean It & make it minimal & organised there are many repeated elements in UI .
8-OPTION CHAIN only for Commodities is not present on COMMODITIES FUTURE details pages , To access commodities option chain have search or Access from Home page .
9-Modify IFSC & Deletion of BANK ACCOUNT.
10-Auto Refresh charts feature on tv.dhan.co , just like orginal trading view when internet re-connects or for some reason Candle stop forming or anything.

What is tick by tick graph. Which is upcoming feature in Dhan?

@PravinJ Price alerts browser notification. I saw very tiny shades on Dhan web but it should show somewhere as static.
More condition on Price alerts like volume, bar Closed price, moving average with Price Note which shows on the notification.

Hi @t7support Mutual Funds for Corporate Accounts we won’t do… it’s largely an offline process and differs from AMC to AMC.

If there is a decent size funds to be deployed in an Mutual Fund, the AMC will provide lots or support + relationship managers and more, that is enough incentives for corporates to bypass an intermediary like us and work directly with them.

I have tracked this for many startups and folks who planned to pick this up - they gave up later because it’s extremely difficult to manage compliances and requirements across AMCs; additionally there isn’t a revenue they stand to make + nor a sustainable business be built around this.

As a business, Dhan will be focussed on retail investors and seasoned traders. No plans to offer to corporates.

Hi @dark.lord94 Well, its same as Dhan web experience, packaged as a progressive app for easy access. We have rolled out to a very small set of users just today.

Hi @nx.vijay Price Alerts revamp is on the cards. We updated notifications on app and also on web; but there is more to do here.

@PravinJ This one’s coming though, right? I’ll be back at Dhan soon, now that my account has been enabled for MTF. This 2X exposure is the right way to do it. Glad you finally gave a thought, and this is the exact thing I love about Dhan, always listening to customer feedbacks. :slight_smile: Hope this time my trading won’t be disrupted massively like it happened in January.

This is a long list @iajay and we will review this. Few of these are in works, we are doing a major update to TradingView implementation with aim of making things faster & lighter along side some improvements on features and usability updates. Not all of these but 1 or 2 will get enhanced post that deployment.

plz provide price alert option on tv.dhan charts . so we can put direct price alert from chart .

Hi!

Can we have a password length of more than 12 characters as it is capped at 12 characters with digits and special characters? And provide TOTP functionality.

Please don’t suggest TOTP. It’s a complete pain in life. Dhan’s QR is the best out there. Zerodha and AngelOne already has TOTP and sign-in is so annoying there.
